Gates we use to secure our psyche
Weapons used to children strike

Yet we meander on and on and on
Ignoring the blueprints of centuries gone
To discount the torment of utmost wrong
To settle for nothing, yet for profundity we long

Doors that lead nowhere in sight
Weapons used in our biased fight

And yet we wander to and fro and to
We smirk when approached by someone like you
You're different from us, but you're nothing new
We do not approach your kind with due

Gateways startling all who might
Wish for shelter, we won't take you light

But we drift on and on and on
We disregard your sad, holy song
Our voices chant to glorify arms
We'll overlook your morals and adopt your bong

Pathways are deterred to numb our psyche
Our artillery we'll use when your family we strike

Because we traipse to and fro and to
We expect you to accept our fiasco as true
While our spirits cry for aspects of you
The birds of sightlessness and hypocrisy flew

Through the gates of our hearts when we murmer at night
That your suffering is worthless amidst our dominance-plight.
