The Muslim Stories Project is proud to announce the winner of its first Writing Competition, Lamies Abuakar, author of the heart-warming short story Mahmoud.

Mahmoud centers on the experiences of a family of seven as they anxiously await the arrival of the new addition to the family. While some members of the family are noticeably more excited than others, when tragedy strikes the faith of the entire family is put to the test.

Starting December 25th site visitors will be able to submit their Prose and Poetry pieces for consideration of a $100 CASH PRIZE!
